Founded in 2021 by Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, the Archbishop’s Commission for Racial Healing (ACRH) is an advisory body of laity, consecrated religious, and clergy that addresses the sin of racism in the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Catholic Social Teaching. We are Missionary Disciples and serve as a resource for parishes, schools, and other Archdiocesan ministries in this important work of the Church.

Join the Archbishop’s Commission on Racial Healing’s mission to foster reconciliation and dialogue within our Catholic community!

We are currently seeking candidates to participate in our Facilitator Training program as part of Phase 2 of our ongoing project to develop a Strategic Plan for Racial Healing for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. These facilitators would then be called upon to lead Racial Healing listening sessions beginning in 2027.

Facilitator Training is free for participants thanks to generous support from the Ambassadors’ Fund for Catholic Education. Trained facilitators called upon to lead any forthcoming listening sessions in 2027 will be compensated for their time.

Training dates for this cohort are as follows:

Saturday, September 26- 1pm – 3:30pm (In person)

Monday, October 5– 7pm – 9pm (Zoom)

Monday, October 26- 7pm – 9pm (Zoom)

Tuesday, November 17– 6pm – 9pm (In person)

We ask that applicants be available for all four sessions.
